Former Arsenal and Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor believes Victor Osimhen can thrive in the Premier League.

The Nigerian forward is set to leave Napoli in the summer, despite signing a new contract this season.

Osimhen scored 26 goals and Napoli won Serie A in the 2022-2023 season, but both player and club are finding 2023-2024 a lot more challenging.

The forward's new deal does have a release clause that Premier League clubs would have to meet to sign him. Chelsea are watching developments closely.

"He has the right attitude, mentality and determination to excel there (in England)," former Togo captain Adebayor told BBC Sport Africa.

"I'm praying for him to move to the Premier League and show what he's capable of."
