Advocaat: Slot wrong to turn down Leeds

ADO Den Hag boss Dick Advocaat says Arne Slot was wrong to turn down Leeds United.

Slot has announced he's decided to stay with Advocaat's former club Feyenoord.

Nevertheless, Advocaat believes the opportunities offered in the Premier League is a 'different world' to those available at Feyenoord.

“I would have tried to get away," he told Veronica Offside. “If you can work in the Premier League, that's a totally different world. There, everything really revolves around football. Everything possible is possible there.

“It's just not like that in the Netherlands. Feyenoord does not have a narrow selection, but if you look at the squads in the Premier League, it is not possible here.

“I think Slot is a good trainer, excellent even. What happens when they start paying amounts like they did with Julian Nagelsmann? He went to Bayern Munich for millions. Will they let him go then?"
