Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo urged a referee to overturn a penalty decision in the Saudi Pro League.
Ronaldo, who plays for Al-Nassr at club level, was taking on Persepolis at the time.
The Asian Champions League game was marred by an incident where the referee gave a spot kick, but Ronaldo encouraged him to change his mind.
He was seen mouthing the words "no penalty" to the referee right after the incident.
The penalty decision was overturned, with Ronaldo earning praise from his rivals.
"It's great honesty and we need to see more of that," Al-Markhiya manager Anthony Hudson said on beIN Sports.
"Part of him going there (to Saudi Arabia) is he wants to improve everything around the league. The standard of football, the quality of the games, the stadiums and I just think this is another area he wants to keep improving.
"Here we have one where it looks like a dive and now he's been honest about it and he's trying to improve a decision that's incorrect."
