Al-Nassr coach Luis Castro excited working with Ronaldo: No need to make demands to him

Al-Nassr coach Luis Castro admits he's enjoying working with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Castro took charge of Al-Nassr earlier this year after Rudi Garcia was pushed out.

"He is the world's greatest example of success in terms of hard work, work and discipline," enthused Castro about the former Manchester United, Juventus and Real Madrid striker.

"Do you think he needs me to make demands on him? No. You don't need to make demands on Cristiano, he does it himself. He gives us rigor, discipline, the highest standards, always wants to win, wants to shine in front of the world."

Ronaldo leads the Saudi Pro League top scorers list with ten goals.

“It gives me great pleasure to be the coach of a player who, despite his age, enjoys football, enjoys training and enjoys his teammates," says Castro.

The 62-year-old has no doubts that Ronaldo will still be fit enough to take part in the 2026 World Cup with Portugal.

“Cristiano is a man of conviction, a man with goals. Anything can happen."
