Cristiano Ronaldo has made a rallying call to football's stars about joining him in the Saudi Pro League.

The former Manchester United, Juventus and Real Madrid star was speaking after scoring in Saturday's 4-1 win at Al Tawoon.

Ronaldo declared: "Next year, I will try to do the same as this year. I am happy because I made the decision to come here when no one believed in it.

"But hey, it's the past and I don't care. Now, the most important thing is that the championship is growing, that the players now want to come here because they know that the league is competitive.

"The whole world is watching the championship now, and I advise the big players to come here, they will be welcome."
