Arsenal and Brentford to announce Raya deal

Arsenal are preparing to confirm the permanent move of David Raya from Bournemouth.

The shot stopper is a huge favorite of manager Mikel Arteta, despite the presence of Aaron Ramsdale in the squad.

Raya, who signed on an initial loan deal in the summer, will seal a permanent £30 million deal.

The Cherries will receive the substantial payment for Raya, while the Spaniard is now cemented as Arsenal's no.1.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano stated: "It will be soon. From what I've heard, it's already agreed, so I don't know when they will make it official.

"It's something that they already agreed in the summer. The Raya deal was going to be permanent at the beginning, but they had to change the structure of the deal because of Financial Fair Play.

"Brentford decided to help Arsenal with that, but it is not going to change anything. The deal will be made permanent."
