Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta explained benching Gabriel Jesus for defeat at Fulham.
Arteta admits he felt his No1 striker has been appearing tired in recent games.
The Brazilian was changed for Eddie Nketiah, who led the line for the 2-1 defeat.
Before kickoff, the manager explained: "It's about the three changes and bringing the energy in as well. We played less than 72 hours ago and we are going to need a lot of energy to beat Fulham."
Asked about the market after the defeat, Arteta said: "We need to improve. We need to win games and in order to do that we need to win games. In order to do that we need to do it with players that after 20 league games, we have the chance to be the best in the league with these players. They are really good and we're going to continue to work with them."
