Middlesbrough forward Morgan Rogers is the subject of a transfer offer from Aston Villa.
The Midlands club have seen their first bid for the Boro front man turned down by the Championship club.
Per The Mail, Boro and their boss Michael Carrick are not eager to sell Rogers.
Rogers, who was born just outside Birmingham, is said to want to join Villa in the coming weeks.
He may find the challenge of playing for a Premier League club a drastic change to his situation at Boro.
While he is a regular in the Championship, Rogers would have to compete with full internationals for game time under Unai Emery at Villa.
