Atalanta chief Luca Percassi has hailed the club's youth system.
Percassi has highlighted Giorgio Scalvini as the ideal example of the work done by the academy staff.
He told Sportitalia: "So many boys, because in any case when a boy arrives in the first team and has gone through the entire process in the Youth Sector, he does nothing but best represent the work and efforts made by all the people who have dedicated themselves to the daily life of our Sector.
"We have various examples of boys who have done very well, I am thinking for example of (Alessandro) Bastoni who is a boy who has experienced these fields since he was a child and then today he is a member of the Italian national team, so despite his very young age, he is a boy who represents the Atalanta spirit to it's full.
"We definitely have Scalvini who is a perfect guy, excellent on and off the pitch. But I also like to mention Matteo Ruggeri, Carnesecchi who was called up to the senior national team. I must say that fortunately we are spoiled for choice, but spoiled for choosing guys of whom we are very proud."
