Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini was delighted with their Coppa Italia win at AC Mila.
La Dea came from behind to win the quarterfinal 2-1 on Wednesday night.
Gasperini said: "I'm talking about the match, because we won well. We suffered in the first half hour because we couldn't develop our game, then we grew, even after the goal. I'm really happy.
"Look, playing in Rome wasn't easy, we limited them a lot. We played in three days at the Olimpico and San Siro, putting both of them in difficulty: there are trophies and cups, it's true, but for us these are cups."
Atalanta will now meet Fiorentina in the semis.
Gasperini added: "It will be played in April, we are very happy with the semi-final because it was a goal. This is a particular competition because we came to play here at Milan's home ground. In this tournament, when you reach the semifinals, everyone likes the competition."
