Baraja delighted with Valencia win against Villarreal

Valencia coach Ruben Baraja was left delighted after their 3-1 win against Villarreal.

Baraja felt they produced a complete performance. Roman Yaremchuk and two penalties from Pepelu were VCF's goalscorers.

He later said: "We have to enjoy the moment, enjoy the fact that we have chained two victories, one away and one at home, two victories in a row that since the beginning of the campaign we had not achieved and basically what we want is to enjoy.

"The players see themselves with confidence in what they are capable of doing if we compete as a team and, ultimately, go game by game. But today enjoy, that our fans also enjoy, that they are with the team that has supported them and has enjoyed a lot.

"I think the first half hour was very good in terms of what the game wanted, which was to be pressing and take advantage of the superiorities. Plus, we had a reward. That generates a lot of confidence. The game there was very good. I think we interpreted the game very well. The work of the boys has been good and has been seen with a great victory."

Baraja added: "I'm happy with how the team is competing. There are times when we haven't won and we have still done things well. I make the assessment based on today's game. It is always positive to have two consecutive victories, because it will give us confidence.

"If we compete like today, we will be close to winning more games."
