Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge insists the European Super League will gain little traction.

While the European Court of Justice has ruled in the ESL's favour this week, Rummenigge can't see the competition being embraced.

He said: "Two Spaniards (Real Madrid and Barcelona). Juve are out, at least that's what it seems to me. It is Europe's rejection of the project. The only thing missing is legal confirmation. Perhaps we would have understood Florentino better, he has an above all economic vision.

"It wouldn't get very far. 30 years ago the system would have embraced novelty, now it is different. The British, Germans and French would never participate. I think the Italians and the Spanish don't either, unless there is some president who thinks he can go to bed and wake up the next day in the middle of gold.

"Real Madrid and Barcelona could make the tournament...".
