Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel has paid tribute to his Champions League winners at Chelsea.
On the podium at the Munich sports trade fair ISPO, Tuchel discussed his relationship with the players he managed.
“There are the big names, but there are also the quiet superstars like Gündogan, Mkhitaryan in Dortmund, Marquinhos and Thiago Silva in Paris. Or Kanté, Mount, Kovacic, Havertz in Chelsea," he said.
Tuchel continued: “I learned so much from these players as a coach. They are as important as role models as they carry the team."
In contrast, Tuchel said of Kylian Mbappé: "They are very demanding and full of talent . They have a big ego which drives them forward. You need a good connection, otherwise you won't be able to convince them of your ideas."
