Roma chief exec Lina Souloukou is still reeling after yesterday's sacking of coach Jose Mourinho.
TMW says Souloukou was blindsided by the decision from the club owners, the Friedkins, who never consulted her about the firing.
Indeed, Souloukou was keen to see Mourinho fulfill his contract to June before considering their options. Instead, without speaking to her, the Friedkins sacked Mourinho in the morning.
Souloukou was left stunned by the decision and has expressed her frustration to friends last night. There are now suggestions Souloukou is considering her own position.
Tribalfootball.com understands Souloukou has resisted multiple offers from major Saudi Pro League clubs in recent months to remain loyal to Roma. Such interest remains as the SPL seek high-profile names to fill their management positions.
Meanwhile, it's also been revealed the players only learned of the sacking via the club's official statement. This was partly due to sporting director Tiago Pinto also being ignored by the Friedkins as they made their move.
