Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi and Marseille coach Gennaro Gattuso will reunite this week.
The two Italians had a fiery confrontation on the touchline seven years ago, during a Serie C play-off final.
Both men were sent off on that occasion, while Gattuso even had a coin thrown at him by the crowd.
“There was nothing, we have a passion and we live this work," De Zerbi stated about that incident and his respect for Gattuso to reporters.
“I have big respect for him, he worked very well in Pisa, Milan and Naples.
“We are very close in terms of character, passion, I think tomorrow will be better than in 2016!"
