German 'Mono' Burgos took aim at Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone's tactics after their Spanish Super Cup semifinal defeat to Real Madrid.
Real won the tie 5:3 in injury-time in Riyadh.
Watching for Movistar+ was Burgos, who surprisingly took aim at Simeone's tactics. He was Simeone's No2 at Atletico for nine years.
He said: "Yes, I'm very hot... It's a team, the game beyond tactics and strategy... A team is looking for two steps forward and a team that looks two and three steps back.
"What I think is that they're conceding a lot of goals playing with five at the back. Both in 5-3-2 and in 5-4-1, with which they finish and they also score another goal. That's a lot of goals to have five defenders. That's what's happening.
"There are five defenders for three players that Madrid arrived with. Madrid had few people inside the area."
