BVB pair Terzic, Kehl hail Maatsen debut: A great player

Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic was delighted with Ian Maatsen for their victory over Darmstadt.

The Chelsea fullback made his debut after arriving on-loan only 48 hours earlier.

Terzic enthused afterwards: "He played a great game. He showed a glimpse of what he was made of. He was very technically proficient in tight spaces. He can pick up speed straight away from the first contact. A great player."

BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl also remarked: “He was very, very calm.

"There was no sense of nervousness, he did very, very well. He's fully fit and has had playing time in the last few weeks."
