Cosmin Contra is delighted for Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Contra played for Ancelotti at AC Milan and caught up with his old coach in Saudi Arabia last week where he is coach of Damac.

He told AS: "Every year he reinvents himself, regardless of whether they arrive the players he wants. He now plays with Bellingham as a false 9; Rodrygo and Vinicius create space for him and that's where the dangers come for the opponents. He found a place for Bellingham just like he did in the past with Pirlo.

"I called him. I have a good relationship with him and we write to each other often. I was interested in Real Madrid's training and it was spectacular. We met at eight in the morning and I saw how he prepared training, with the players...

"You learn a lot from Carlo because he is a coach who knows how to manage all aspects of a locker room. He is not given the credit he deserves for how Real Madrid is going."
