Liverpool defender Billy Koumetio has returned to the club with immediate effect.

Koumetio has cut short his loan spell with French side USL Dunkerque due to a lack of game time.

Despite departing with the intent of playing more often, the youngster only managed nine appearances with the Ligue 2 club.

Koumetio has played twice for manager Jurgen Klopp's first team, but is not considered a future first teamer.

The stopper is likely to go back out on loan to another team this winter to get regular game time.

He will then have to reassess his future in the summer to decide if a permanent exit is the right move for his career.
