Former Chelsea and Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is challenging for the Porto presidency.
AVB launched his senior coaching career with the Dragons before leaving for Chelsea in 2011.
He said at a press conference yesterday: "I am registering as a candidate for the presidency of FC Porto. A moment of great significance for me. A step with great responsibility taken with the awareness of a single purpose - to serve FC Porto.
"I am a candidate because I want a stronger, more competitive and winning FC Porto. I am a candidate because I want FC Porto by the members and for the members.
"Our commitment is to win. This club has won since 1893."
