Former Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has released a message regarding an incident involving his current team.
The Croatian veteran plays for Lyon in the French Ligue 1, where his team had an incident-packed evening against Marseille.
The game between the two rivals did not go ahead, as the Lyon team coach was attacked and Fabio Grosso sustained injuries.
Posting a photo of Grosso's injury, Lovren said: "What happened tonight to our coach and to us on the bus was beyond measure.
"I respect over the whole world true fans, but these were not true today. These people came with clear intentions to do some serious injuries.
"This has nothing to do with football anymore! If the law is not changed, one day it will be too late. The government must do something. I wish all Lyon supporters to come back home safely."
