Feyenoord coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst has announced Robin van Persie will play his final game this weekend.
Van Persie will play the final match of his career on Sunday when Feyenoord host ADO Den Haag in the Eredivisie.
The 35-year-old striker announced earlier this year that he would retire at the end of the season, however the former Arsenal and Manchester United frontman will bring his career to an end a game early after the Dutch FA extended the league season until next Wednesday. Van Bronckhorst confirmed the news on Friday during his pre-match press conference.
He said: "He can enjoy the moment on Sunday, a wonderful end to his career."
