FIFA medical chief Dr Cesar Quesada has declared Al-Hilal star Neymar will make a full recovery.
Neymar's season is over after suffering an ACL injury while with Brazil in midweek.
Quesada has offered encouragement to the former Barcelona and PSG star, stating: "This is a 31-year-old footballer, still with quite a future ahead of him.
"Today the recovery from an ACL injury is well standardized and although the times are long, about eight months, it is important to know that the return to the playing field is perfectly possible in very good conditions."
Brazilian confederation president Ednaldo Rodrigues said: "Brazilian and world soccer need a healthy Neymar, because soccer is happier when he's on the field."
