Former Real Madrid captain Marcelo is full of pride after helping Fluminense win the Copa Libertadores.
The veteran was part of Flu's team as they defeated Boca Juniors yesterday in the final.
Marcelo becomes one of the few to win both the Champions League and Copa Libertadores. He said: "Real Madrid will understand.
"At the club team level, it is the most important title in my career, because this is the club that raised me.
"I was in debt to Fluminense. People have criticised. Today, Fluminense are Libertadores champions. Congratulations to the entire group. The chairman, the nutritionist, the cleaners and the security guards.
"I was very nervous, but now it's only joy."
