Former Stoke City defender Andy Griffin has stated his belief that the Potters should sign Chelsea legend John Terry.
City recently pulled off a coup in the transfer market by securing the services of the extremely experienced midfielder Darren Fletcher from West Bromwich Albion on a free transfer.
And now ex-Potters skipper Andy Griffin has urged his former club to sign another veteran by snapping up John Terry.
Terry is currently a free agent after ending his lifelong association with Chelsea at the end of last season.
The 38-year-old said to the Stoke Sentinel: "I'd be looking at John Terry. I liked Bruno Martins Indi but if I had a choice a Ryan Shawcross and Terry partnership looks very good. Would Terry come to Stoke? I would like to see it happen.
"His leadership qualities are fantastic, he has bags of energy, he is a good distributor of the ball and he gets the best out of those players around him.
"I am sure Hughes will want to bring in another couple of signings but they have to be the right ones, with the right character as well as ability."
