Girona chief Guardiola: If Bayern Munich call, I'll drive Michel to Germany

Girona chief Pere Guardiola insists they won't block coach Michel should a big club come in for him.

The Girona coach has been linked with Newcastle and Manchester City this season.

Guardiola told Revelo: "He can leave whenever he wants. He is master of his future, he has earned this status. If a team came and he wanted to leave, we would say thank you and goodbye.

"I assure you that if he were to receive an offer from Bayern Munich, I would drive him to Germany even if he was still under contract with us. And the president would pack his bags.

"Girona will be forever grateful to him for everything he did. He could have made a career, coaching a team that always plays in cups, but he preferred to stay with us. I don't know how long he will stay here, but we will try to give him all the best resources."
