Jordan Henderson is in advanced talks to break his three-year contract with Al-Ettifaq.
The Times says the former Liverpool captain is finalising his release and will return to Europe as a free agent.
Ajax are favourites to land Henderson, with coach John van t' Schip confirming talks with the midfielder last week.
Indeed, it's suggested Henderson has now agreed a contract with the Dutch giants.
The veteran is leaving Al-Ettifaq's training camp in Abu Dhabi and could touch down in England today ahead of eventually flying to Amsterdam.
