Asier Illarramendi is convinced Real Sociedad can have a big season ahead.

The former Le Real midfielder is now playing for FC Dallas in MLS.

He told Euskal Telebista: "There are many friends and I follow them. From the outside we see things differently and we also appreciate them differently.

"With the level they have reached in Europe, they have shown that they are capable of anything. PSG has great players, but I think Real is a better team."

La Real will meet PSG in the Champions League round of 16 in February.

"This was definitely the most difficult draw at this stage of the competition," said president Jokin Aperribay after the draw. "But we will do our best. They are a reference club. A great team with great players. They are just big clubs at this stage of the competition."
