Jhon Duran is eager to get moving with new club Aston Villa.
The 19-year-old completed his move to the Midlands on Monday, joining from MLS side Chicago Fire.
A forward who has three caps for Colombia, Durán declared his delight at joining Villa.
“I have all the desire in the world," he told VillaTV.
“Lots of desire to work hard, give everything to the team and win. I'm hoping I can play soon."
He added: “I'm a player that plays with a lot of passion who is dedicated to the team and a player that really wants to win always.
“I know it's the most important league in the world. It's the best league in the world, and I have all the desire in the world to get on the pitch and score that first goal."
Durán arrives at Villa Park after a year with Chicago Fire, making 28 appearances and scoring eight goals.
The Colombian, who came through the ranks at Envigado in his homeland, also has three caps for his country after making his debut in September 2022.
Unai Emery has given the teenager a warm welcome, and Durán is now looking forward to working with the head coach on a daily basis.
He said: “We have spoken; he said very touching words and gave me a huge welcome.
“Now I can speak with him and we can discuss everything to do with the project.
“It strikes me as a very good project."
