Juventus coach Max Allegri says he's spoken to Paul Pogba since his appeal failed last week.
Pogba's counter-analysis of his original doping test has confirmed he failed it. The Juve midfielder is now facing a battle over how long he will be suspended from playing.
After victory over Torino, Allegri spoke about the former Manchester United midfielder.
He said, "We spoke and messaged each other.
"I am very close to him on a human level. I am very sorry and I hope that everything will be resolved for the best. Football a need for players like him."
Allegri, meanwhile, also talked up young defender Fede Gatti after his goal in the Derby della Mole. Gatti had out through his net last week.
The coach said, "For my part, there is trust in everyone. Gatti? He will still score more goals, he must remain calm, let's not forget that he has only about thirty appearances in Serie A with Juventus. He's young, he's good and he's growing."
