Juventus great Giorgio Chiellini has been added to LAFC's coaching team.
The former Italy retired with LAFC at the end of last season. He has now been named the club's new player development coach.
"We were grateful to have Giorgio play the last 18 months of his playing career with LAFC," said LAFC co-president and general manager John Thorrington. “During this time," he continued, “he has demonstrated in many ways what an asset he is to us and we are thrilled to add a truly brilliant football mind, an incredible leader and an even better person to our staff for next season."
LAFC say "In his new role Chiellini will work with the coach of Los Angeles FCSteve Cherundolo and with his technical staff to assist in the development of first team players."
