Liverpool are convinced of landing Aberdeen right-back Calvin Ramsay.
The Reds have been tracking the 18-year-old right-back for some time as they look to provide backup for Trent Alexander-Arnold, says the Liverpool Echo.
And the FA Cup and League Cup winners are now expected to close in on a deal for the Scotland under-21 international, which is understood to be worth around £4million plus various add-ons.
Ramsay made 33 appearances for Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen this season, scoring one goal and providing nine assists.
The highly-rated youngster is on the radar of a number of clubs, with Manchester United, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City and Leeds United among those having shown interest along with clubs from Germany and Italy.
Ramsay, though, is understood to favour a move to Liverpool and the opportunity to work under Jurgen Klopp. A transfer could be agreed this week.
