Liverpool are very serious about securing the signature of BK Häcken's Momodou Sonko.

The Reds are set to make a move for the youngster in the coming weeks, ahead of other European clubs.

Per journalist Ola Gustavsson, the Reds are leading RB Leipzig and Bologna in the race to sign Sonko.

Liverpool have even gone to Gothenburg to hold secret meetings regarding the talent.

They are hoping to seal an agreement with his club BK Häcken, who are third in the Allsvenskan at present.

Sonko has impressed hugely since breaking into the Häcken first team in the past 12 months.
