Liverpool could sign Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United within the next two to three years.
That is the view of AS in Spain, as they believe Newcastle may have to sell Guimaraes for FFP purposes.
Magpies recorded reported losses of £73.4 million earlier this week, which will impact who they can buy and sell in future transfer windows.
Guimaraes is said to have a release clause in his contract worth £98 million.
The source adds that Liverpool would have to pay that clause in three installments of £32 million.
They do, however, have competition for his signature in the form of Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, and Chelsea.
