Manchester City ace Kevin De Bruyne will go under the knife to treat a hamstring issue.
De Bruyne pulled up for the Citizens at the very start of this season, having suffered a hamstring injury during the Champions League final last term as well.
The Belgian will now face a spell of three to four months on the sidelines, as he builds up strength in the muscle.
Per The Mail, City are assessing Lucas Paqueta of West Ham United as a replacement.
Manager Pep Guardiola is eager to add Paqueta to fill the void left by De Bruyne's injury and Ilkay Gundogan's departure.
Paqueta, however, may cost a similar fee to the one Arsenal paid for Declan Rice.
