Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has convinced Sergio Gomez to see out the season.

The left-back has been unsettled at City over a lack of minutes this season and was preparing to leave during this month's transfer window.

However, TMW says after face-to-face talks, Guardiola has convinced Gomez to stay for at least to the end of this season.

Gomez is in his second season with City after arriving from Anderlecht.

He has managed just two appearances in the Premier League this campaign.
