Pau Torres insists he's in no rush to quit Villarreal.

The defender is being linked with Manchester City as the January market swings open.

Torres said, "Rumours are rumours, we are in a time for little news and you have to put something forward to sell. My feeling is that I must work hard to continue playing in this club and my goal is that, to be able to play many games with this shirt.

"This is the most important year for me in my short career, it has been the most important year and in which many good things have happened.

"I started in Malaga and returned to my team and to my house, to be able to play and have many minutes with the firsts. To which is added the national team, which makes that without a doubt the best year of my life."
