The France veteran was seen on a skiing holiday trip during the club's mini winter break.

United are next set to take on Newport County in the fourth round of the FA Cup next Sunday.

Varane, who was not given permission to go on the trip, shared a picture of him in a snowy area on his Instagram story.

The Sun states that a representative of Varane confirmed he was not skiing himself.

Players are not allowed to engage in such activities during the season for fear of injuring themselves.
