Former Manchester United defender Jaap Stam could be returning to the sport as a manager.
The ex-centre half, who won the Premier League and Champions League at Old Trafford, is being lined up for a stunning return to management.
Stam will be taking charge of a team in the seventh tier of Dutch football, per Dutch outlet 1908.
Stam has not worked since he lost his job at FC Cincinnati in the United States in September 2021.
The 51-year-old will take over at DOS Kampen in the Dutch lower divisions when the season ends.
He is only going to take the job when the current manager Johan Pitstra departs.
