Manchester United are pushing to sign LDU Quito midfielder Oscar Zambrano.
Luton have been locked in talks with Quito over a fee for the youngster.
But Diario Ole Ecuador says United are now stepping in and ready to pay what Quito is demanding to sell Zambrano.
Zambrano is ready to leave Ecuador this month.
Brighton and Bournemouth are also interested.
