Marcelino says he doesn't feel betrayed by Olympique Marseille president Pablo Longoria.
The Spaniard was forced to leave OM after pressure from local ultras after only weeks in the job.
He recalled to Cadena SER: "I understood that it is a club where creating a project is absolutely impossible. Because such a big club cannot be managed by a few. The ultras asked the president and the board of directors to leave the club. They said that if they didn't do it, they would pay the consequences.
"This is what the president told me: Pablo Longoria is still there because according to him it is a great responsibility to leave such a club at this moment. A club that has always given him great consideration. I don't feel betrayed by Pablo, he gave me explanations, I consider him a friend and when a person makes a decision and then changes it, I'm sure there is a reason."
Of his future, Marcelino also said: "There was a dialogue with Sevilla, which is a big club, but the necessary conditions for this new project were not there. I had a serious project in Marseille but I didn't know the club's situation. Last week I received an offer from Saudi Arabia, but it's not in my plans. The offer was high but I didn't take it into consideration."
