Marcelino has revisited his departure from Olympique Marseille.
The former Valencia and Athletic Bilbao coach was forced to leave OM last month due to pressure from ultras.
Marcelino recalled: “Very angry, disappointed and sad. We had put all our enthusiasm into developing a very attractive project in a great club. In any case, we thought it was a great club in every sense of the word, but these deplorable events show that it is not as great a club as we would like.
“Some radical fans who want to constantly influence events are preventing it from being a great club.
“I spent twenty years as a coach, and almost twenty as a professional player before that, and I had never seen anything like it in my life. And I don't think I'll ever see him again. At least I hope so. It is a way of doing things that is very far from what should be reality in 2023 in a civilized country.
“Football is passion, okay, but there are limits."
