Inter Milan GM Beppe Marotta says president Steven Zhang deserves greater recognition.
Marotta says Inter's current success is owed to Zhang and owners Suning
He told the Wolf - Storie che contante podcast: "Today I look above all at the human aspect. I have received a lot from life and from football in particular, it is right that I give something.
"I recently renewed with Inter, I have to thank president Zhang for this. I believe that when I finish working at Inter I will dedicate myself to sport as a social phenomenon.
"Italy is behind the rest of Europe, I would like our children to be able to play for free. If you pay, it means that the school system doesn't work.
"Today the foreign presence in Italy is strong. In Milan there are two very large clubs that are in the hands of a Chinese and an American, and I say thank goodness with a big thank you as far as I'm concerned. If it hadn't been for the Zhang family, I don't know what would have happened to Inter. Two or three properties followed one another. There is a need to take capital from abroad that gives the possibility to carry out the activity."
