Luka Modric is prepared to play on with Real Madrid next season - though with one qualifier.

AS editor Tomas Roncero is reporting Modric will resist bigger offers from Saudi Arabia to sign a new one-year contract.

However, he will only do so if Real accept him continuing to play for Croatia.

The 37 year-old wants to play at next year's Euros in Germany and while Real would prefer he retire internationally, Modric is determined to play on.

Modric has offers on the table from the Saudi Pro League worth €200m over three years.
