Monza chief Adriano Galliani says coach Raffaele Palladino must see out the season.
However, Galliani concedes Palladino will be on the radar of bigger clubs.
He said: "It's normal to be ambitious, move forward and grow. We agree not to talk about contracts until the end of the championship, now we just want salvation."
On the next match with Inter Milan, Galliani added: "As a Monza native, I hope like last year, but it's difficult because Inter are very strong and the favourites for the championship.
"It's not good to make predictions, but they're top of the class."
