Bologna coach Thiago Motta couldn't fault his players after their Coppa Italia quarterfinal defeat to Fiorentina.
A penalty shootout against Bologna after last night's tie finished 0-0 saw the Viola through.
Motta later said: "We played well, as we are. We lose, we have to digest it now and immediately think about Cagliari, the next championship match.
"The rest will remain as an additional experience, a tough defeat for how it came but I am very proud of my boys, they presented themselves as great Bologna players.
"Go forward with your head held high."
He also said: "Today and in the championship were two very different games, there's no point looking for something that went wrong... I'm proud of the boys for how they faced the situation. The rest will be my duty, to digest and look forward."
