Napoli are seeking talks with Tottenham for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

The Azzurri want to take the Dane on-loan in January with an option to buy.

Hojbjerg has been linked with Juventus for much of the season. But now Il Corriere dello Sport says Napoli have entered the tug of war for the 28-year-old's signature.

Napoli want Hojbjerg even if they manage to land Lazar Samardzic, 21, from Udinese.

Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri wants to bring in two midfielders this winter because André-Frank Zambo Anguissa is expected to leave for AFCON in January.

In addition, it is likely that Diego Demme and Gianluca Gaetano will be loaned out next month.
