Newcastle United midfielder Tom Allan is happy with his loan move to Accrington Stanley.
He follows in the footsteps of Dan Barlaser who was at Accrington for the 2018-19 season, and other youngsters such as Kell Watts and Sean Longstaff, who have ventured out on loan and impressed.
"I'm 20 now, it's kind of a make or break season for me where you need to be playing senior football and you either sink or swim, it'll be a real test but one I think I can strive from," he told the Evening Chronicle.
"Prior to lockdown and then coming back into training the manager was saying how well Kell and Dan had done when they had gone out on loan - it's good to hear, good to know that they're always watching you when you're out there playing.
"For me, it's about staying in the team, and if the team is doing well it reflects well on me so that's the main thing.
"Then Ill go back to Newcastle full of confidence."
