Newcastle United's Saudi Arabian owners could be set to add another team to their portfolio.

The Public Investment Fund in Saudi, which also funds many of the country's Pro League teams, owns the Magpies.

Per FranceBleu, there is a proposal from the Saudis to buy a controlling stake in Marseille.

The French giants would then receive a huge cash injection to buy new players.

The goal is to tempt former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane back to his old club.

Marseille are not in the Champions League this season and have not won Ligue 1 for many years.
