Newcastle United have identified a possible replacement for Brazilian midfielder Joelinton.

The all-action star, who arrived at the club as a center forward, could move on in the summer.

Per The Telegraph, if Joelinton continues to delay signing a new contract, the Magpies will have to consider their options.

The source adds that Newcastle see Everton midfielder Amadou Onana as the ideal replacement.

Onana has shone in the Premier League over the past 18 months, especially under current Toffees boss Sean Dyche.

While he is only one of many names on Newcastle's radar, Everton's financial troubles do make a deal likely.
